Twycross Zoo in Lockdown

Visitors to Twycross zoo have had to be ushered to safety after a Gibbon monkey broke free from it’s enclosure.

Staff at the zoo went into emergency mode and moved visitors to a safe area after the monkey reportedly “accidentally swung” out of its cage.

One woman who was at the zoo said how there was mass panic amongst visitors when news of the escaped animal broke.
